Jubilee Lunch at All Saints Centre in Camborne
The amazing volunteers at All Saints put on a Jubilee Lunch for all the people who use the Community Centre. All Saints is a very special place, there is a welcome there for everyone and a helping hand for anyone who needs it, wants to set up a new group or join in with others.
The Jubilee Lunch was a typical “what more can we do for our community” event and while many of us took the chance to have a break for the Jubilee, volunteers at the centre just worked harder. I have no idea of the collective ages of the people who worked in the kitchens and served lunch to around 100 people but I can think of restaurants that might learn a thing or two about efficiency and service with a smile. It proves once again that older people are not the burden that some politicians like to make out – they are the solution to many of our problems.
And then there were the Strum Alongers – great entertainment too, proper job!
